1. Who we are

Business Invoices ("we", "us") provides an online invoicing application at businessinvoices.net and its sub-domains. These terms apply to anyone who visits this website or uses the application.

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the application. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account.

Each account gets its own private workspace. You may give other accounts access to your workspace; if you do, those people can see and change the invoices and client records in it. You can remove that access at any time.

You must be old enough to enter into a contract in your country, and you must give accurate account details.

3. Free and Pro templates

Four invoice templates are available to every account at no cost. The remaining templates are marked Pro and require a Pro account.

We may add, change or retire templates over time. If a template you use is retired, invoices you have already created keep their existing layout.

4. Your content

Everything you put into the application — invoices, client details, logos and notes — stays yours. We do not claim ownership of it.

You give us permission to store and process that content only so far as it is needed to run the service for you, such as saving your invoices and showing them back to you.

You are responsible for making sure the content you upload is lawful and that you have the right to use it, including any logo you upload.

5. Acceptable use

Please do not use the service to break the law, to send fraudulent invoices, to upload malicious files, or to try to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours.

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, work around account limits, or copy the application for resale.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

6. The service is provided as it is

We work hard to keep the service running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or completely free of faults.

Business Invoices is not an accountant, a tax adviser or a law firm. The totals, tax and documents the application produces are based on what you enter; you remain responsible for checking that your invoices and tax treatment are correct.

The application does not take payments from your clients. It shows the details you enter on your invoice; your clients pay you directly.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data or any indirect loss arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending your use of the service

You may stop using the service at any time. Deleted invoices go to the Trash first, where you can restore them or delete them permanently.

We may end or suspend access if these terms are broken, or if we stop offering the service. Where we can, we will give reasonable notice so you can export or print your records.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated, and continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.
